Sam Fareed's personal experiences have shaped him into the attorney he is today. In 2010, while a student at UCLA, he was involved in a horrible car accident. At the intersection of Wilshire and Westwood, his vehicle was t-boned by a drunk driver. After the impact, the front of his car was nowhere to be seen—only the front tires. He was fortunate enough to not only survive the accident but walk away with soft tissue injuries. Years later, he still has excruciating neck and shoulder pain. However, because his injuries were considered “soft-tissue,” his settlement was very low. He has spent and continues to spend thousands of dollars and countless hours in therapy trying to alleviate his pain. He hated how he was treated by the insurance company, and how his pain was deemed nonexistent because his injuries couldn’t be quantified. He did not like the fact that his attorney never discussed with him the option of taking the case to trial.

The passion to become a lawyer was instilled in him at a very young age. Growing up in a third world country, under the Taliban regime in Afghanistan, he saw the weak constantly get harassed at the hands of the more powerful. He always wanted to do something about it, but he was helpless. Now, it is the giant corporations that will do anything to save a penny. But now armed with a law degree, he can do something about it.
